Happy Belated 80th Birthday, Molly Olly!

Molly is my home girl. She means so much to be, being my first doll, and bearing themost resemblance to me, with the exception that I have freckles and don't have bangs.
Anyway, I've been incredibly busy, and I feel so unprofessional that whenever I post, and I end up giving you a run down of whats happening in my life. epic fail.
Weeelll, I was super busy the day of her birthday, April 22nd. I didn't have time to take these pictures until Thursday, actually, the day I left for a convention that would last until Saturday night. So no time for anything but a few pictures while to started to rain. :/

 We've come quite  a long way in one year...

We started out as American Girl Imagination. It was my FOURTH (yes, big ol' 4th) attempt at running a doll blog. There was been Mia's first blog, the first blog I ever opened. It has undergone many changes.... from being solely Mia's blog,  "No Guts, No Glory" to " A Bunch of Crazy Dollies'" and its current state, "The Very Confusing Life of Mia Delilah St. Clair" I would still post there, but that blogging account has been hacked. I can't access it.
Molly and Emily had a blog of there own once, called "Stuck in the 1940's" but I deleted it.
Running, or trying to run, 3-4 differnt blogs at once was hectic, and quality is king when it comes to blogging. I couldn't suffiently supply each blog with quality content. (that's when I tried "A Bunch of Crazy Dollies as my main, but it kinda failed)
I eventually just stopped blogging, to jump of the AGtube train.
But it April of 2013, I decided I was sick of things I was seeing on youtube, and the amount of time and creativiy that was being sucked our of me.
 I was seriously just done.
I missed blogging,
I missed photo stories,
 I missed the fun.
So I created this:

I wasn't very pleased with the name, but I just wanted to get out there. I was bursting with ideas! Photostories, crafts, whatever else.

It's been up and down since then, post quanity and quality wise. But I'm glad to have had all 38+ along for the ride! This little site in the blogosphere has reached a little over 15,000 views! That's insane! My other blog, my 'human' one, has had only 7,000+ and has been open for nearly three years.

Might I remind you that this is our first year running here on Vinyl Girls? Yeah.
I like looking at stats, so, let's look at stats! :D

 First off, NO. I cannot see where to live, nor track your IP address, or zoom in on your house and cackle.
I just see how many hits I get from each country.
It's incredibly interesting to see all the places around the world that this blog has been opened up. Malta? Poland? Russia?

Much more important to me that silly little stats and page views are your comments. I love reading them, and its honestly what keeps me going most of the time. I love feedback, and recently, you've been giving me a lot of it!  Thank you!

 So, thank you so much for an amazing first year. It's been a rollercoaster, but then again; what year ISN'T a rollercoaster?!
Here's to the rest of the time I remain on this blog.

Happy Birthday, Kanani!

Hi girls! I know that Kanani doesn't really have an official birthday in her books (she never even celebrates it) but, June 9th, 2011, is when I first got her! (for my birthday) Here's a photostory commemorating her birthday and what the girls did for it. :D

 

"Come on, it's right over here..." Molly said, pointing ahead.

"Molly, are you sure I shouldn't change? I've been working at the shave ice shack all day..."

"You look fine, Nani." Molly said encouragingly. "You always look great, it would be weird if you went and put something 'nice' on."
"I guess you're right." Kanani giggled, knowing she was the queen of causal.

"Okay." Molly said suddently. "Stay here, I'll go check to see that everything ready."

She quickly dashed off, leaving Kanani by herself, leaning up against the wall.
Suddently, however, she heard her name called. She got up and walked torwards it when...

"HAAPPPYYY BIRTTHHDAYY KANANIII!" Came a loud shout.

On the table were two gallons of ice cream, toppings and spoons for everyone!

Her sunglasses slid down her face in amazement. They'd remember her birthday!

"Whoa guys! This is awesome, I can't believe you remembered!" Kanani said quietly.
"Well, if was a teamwork effort." Molly said simply. "I got the ice cream."

"Emily picked the flowers," Molly said pointing at her best friend, who blushed.

"And it was--"
"OH OH ME NEXT, ME NEXT" Mia joking squealed. "Uh, well, I didn't really do anything-- but it was my idea!"

"And here," Mia's hand flew to the table and came up with a huge pink flower. "To replace that hair clip I lost a long time ago... in trade for the sunglasses, of course..."

Kanani laughed and stuck it in her hair. "Of course, I don't need them"

Quickly they broke into a line and began to go around the table, each getting ice cream.

"Hmmmm! Mahalo, this ice cream is amazing!"

"Thank you so much for an amazing birthday!"

Happy Birthday Molly!

Happy Birthday Molly! Her birthday is April 22nd, 1936. Here's a photo of her birthday party in 2010, the first one she had with me. (the doll in the background is my friend's doll, who attended too. :) Sadly, due to the fact that I was busy today, my Molly's birthday won't be until Friday, maybe.
